Working on a new presentation about Creative and UX. Here’s a graphic from the pres. Funny cartoon illustrations is my only speed. Sorry. I am submitting this talk for Interaction 09.

- Yeah. The metaphor’s a little stressed; depicting UX as a brain generated a bit of flack…but, honestly, it was better than when I was using a heart.

Is it always ok? Or is it more ok earlier in the process?

It’s OK, but, it’s not a permanent condition – it should yield convergence. The idea is that these two parts of experience design are not static – there’s movement…and the activities should eventually merge.
So – it’s definitely more OK earlier in the process.
Of course, that means that Creative/Visual Designers and Experience Designers/IA’s should be together early in the process. That’s probably enough for most folks to chew on.
The next question is obviously, “So, what are we supposed to do together? Who’s in charge?”
Stay tuned on that, I guess.
